The shape, size and features are so close, I think this sharpener and the Makita (98202) sharpener were made by the same manufacturer. It is in excellent condition and runs well. It comes with two different Japanese water stones a 1000 grit honing stone and a Green Wheel for more coarse grinding.

It tries to borrow the benefits of the SLR and water cooled grinding, using homemade self setting jigs to try to overcome some of the fiddlesomeness while "sharply" reducing cost.
