Navarro Mills, on Farm Road 667 near Navarro Mills Lake sixteen miles southwest of Corsicana in western Navarro County, was established in the early 1850s and was the site of the first corn mill in the county. VILLAGE MILLS, TEXAS. Village Mills, also called Village and Village Station, is at the intersection of Highway 69/287 and Farm Road 3063, fortytwo miles north of Beaumont in northern Hardin County. EUREKA MILLS, TEXAS. Eureka Mills, on the western edge of Houston in central Harris County, had a cotton factory in 1872 with about seventyfive operatives. A post office, established there in 1872, was discontinued in 1879, but was still listed on postal route maps in 1888, when the community was a stop on the Houston and Texas Central Railway.
